Swee Construction was incorporated in Brunei Darussalam in the year 1967. Initially it was set up as a branch for Swee Construction in Singapore but it was incorporated in Brunei as Swee Private Limited on 11 September 1973. The phenomenal growth of the company, together with the strong growth registered in Singapore and Malaysia let to the formation of “THE GOLDENTREE GROUP OF COMPANIES” which includes the parent and associated companies. Swee Private Limited was later changed to Swee Sendirian Berhad in 1984. With the excellent deliveries in all of its projects undertaken in Brunei, Swee Sendirian Berhad was registered with the Ministry of Development as Class Licensed Contractor with the eligibility to tender projects with unlimited value.

Before long, The Goldentree Group has its operations and businesses cover 3 countries in the Asian country. In the mid 70s, all these companies, which include the parent and associated companies, have converged to become part of “THE GOLDENTREE GROUP OF COMPANIES” to reflex its group’s diversification and expansion.

In 1984, Swee Private Limited was changed to Swee Sendirian Berhad in line with its diversifications into civil engineering and with the setting up of its own batching plants, entered into the business of supplying ready-mixed concrete & asphalt concrete. Swee was the first company in Brunei to be accredited with PBD ISO 9001 since 12 October 1995.
